How Metal Gantry Shear Works?
Scrap metal is loaded into the machine's large-capacity material box and pushed to the shearing station by a hydraulic pushing mechanism. Side-press and hold-down cylinders clamp the material tightly to prevent shifting or spring-back during cutting. Main shearing cylinders then drive the movable blade downward to shear the material against the fixed bottom blade. After each cut, the blade carriage returns and the pusher advances material for the next cycle.
The entire process is controlled by a PLC automatic control system supporting manual, semi-automatic, and fully-automatic cyclic operation modes. Output size can be precisely adjusted by setting the feeding stroke.
